Nice one Bazzy! I particularly enjoyed 3down. Can't give much feedback as I'm also new to this. One thought though is that "naughty" in 1down is an adjective but clues to a noun. That tripped me up a bit.

That was a fun puzzle, thank you! 2a was great - I love that kind of double definition - and I liked the concept of 4a, although the grammar needs a little tweak (the clue is a different part of speech to the fodder it's meant to indicate). I didn't understand the theme - 5a seems like a weird clue/solution on the face of it, but it's very possible I'm missing something there.

5A acknowledged as a howler on my part. No excuses. Sorry about that. Will do better next time. 4A and 1D not up to scratch as well, so we'll grimace, pretend this didn't happen and shuffle on to better offerings.

Good job on the first grid. This is a good resource that covers a lot of the pitfalls for new setters: https://charliemethven.com/tips. Look forward to more!
