Featured crossword No 5

Lovely stuff. I figured there might be a bit of a northern theme going on but didn't twig until it was completed and saw the nina... there were a couple NHO's for me but really enjoyed the constructions. Personal favourites 9a and 15d closely followed by 14a, 17a, 29a, 30a, 1d, 2d, 7d and 12d. Thanks Fez.

Thanks @Fez, I enjoyed solving and blogging this especially after (restrospectively) spotting the theme! Favourite was probably 30a once I got the right 'the' :)

Super job, Fez. Not quite full-fat Fez which is understandable given the intended audience but some delightful constructions and amusing surfaces. Faves inc 8a/25d, 14a, 21a, 26a, 2d, 12d, 14d, 17d and 21d. Thanks. PM

Great stuff, thanks Fez. Took me a while to get back onto a Fezzy wavelength, but I eventually managed most of it unaided although a couple of NHOs caught me out. I'll nominate some favourites on 15^2.

This was delightful, Fez, truly. I'm happy that simonbyc pointed out the extra bonus that I'd otherwise certainly never notice. A few favorites: 18a, 19a, 21a (nho but still), 29 (got me listening to The Cure again), 1d (maybe Fav), 7d (the CH was new for me), 12d, 16d (well done), 17d (actually this is my Fav), 26d; also thanks for always pushing ("looks after" hmm). Really fun Fez, thanks.

A delicious challenge I put off for days till I felt strong enough. I did spot the Nina (after gathering from others I should look for one) but needed the blog to fully appreciate your artistry. Faves included 8a,25d, 19a,23d,27a, 30a and 2d (FOI & COTD) , 14d,17d,27d

Some beautifully painted surfaces with no shadows that I could see. Pick of the bunch for me: 9a, 14a, 21a, 29a, 1d (took a long time for this one to click), 2d, 12d, 14d, 15d, 21d. Nice to be reminded of the anniversary.
