Good stuff Orinoco! Some lovely clues that took a while to parse yet were fair, in particular 22a, 26a and 19d. More (and spoilery) feedback in reply…

Hi Orinoco, good to meet you! I enjoyed this, even without much detailed knowledge of the theme. Some clever clues and coherent surfaces along with one or two that didn’t quite work for me. Faves inc 8a, 17a (reminded me of my shoemaking experience!), 20a, 22a, 26a, 3d, 5d, 7d (love a good Spoonerism!) & 16d. Spoilers below…
