So early! You have my sense of time all of of whack! Magnificent Nina, must have been quite a challenge to clue, and she arrived in time to be a great help. My faves include 6a,10a,13a, 1d,3d,7d,16d. Some marvelously entertaining surfaces in the mix! Have a great weekend.

Thanks Gennaro for another entertaining puzzle, not too tricky but a few abbreviations I wasn't too familiar with - I will try to commit them to memory for future use! My COTD 14d

Thanks Gennaro for another solid professional puzzle with a very puzzling nina until I stopped cutting the corners and started where I should have done! Spent a while being lead ‘astray’ by a village in Buckinghamshire near where I was born… Couldn’t do 15d (maybe the closest to a GFT?) but the rest went in nicely. Generous concession to UK spelling in 22a. 23a first made me think of somewhere else! Good alternative to ‘papers’ in 2d. An indicator to remember in 4d. And yes,

COTD 16d! As Leo's said, 14d is sweet as well. This was a smooth (and fun) puzzle all around, perhaps with the tone set by the S.I. participants. Some other faves: 6a, 13a, 2d, 7d, 8d Thanks again for all the time and effort you put into these consistently excellent puzzles. Have a great week.
