Didn't spot the theme, I'm not sufficiently 18d, I guess. Neat clue though! Also liked (among many, very hard to pick faves tbh) 1a (NHO), 16a,21a,23a and 2d,5d,10d

Fabulous stuff mate, some grand clues in there. Loved 19a, 23a, 26a, 3d, 5d, 10d and 22d. Theme whistled over my head as per 😆

Got half way through this and then was distracted but have just polished it off. Everything came together quite smoothly in the end from a solving perspective - though, as always, the title left me mystified. Not a hope of me spotting what was going on - and slightly surprised to find one or two of the themers fit the category but you live and learn. 9a, 16a, 23a, 6d, 10d, 17d and 22d my faves. Thanks.
