Cryptic crossword No 3,209

Well Scruffy, I found this engaging but pretty chewy and had to reveal 18a, 24a, 25a, 5d & 15d. Two of these I had quibbles with but the others and the rest of the clues I thought were basically sound. Particular faves: 1a. 9a, 10a (is your pangram original?), 12a, 16a, 26a, 4d (nice incorporation of a), 7d & 14d. Spoilers below…
