Cryptic crossword No 3,143

Not so tricksy this time! But very enjoyable and well-crafted with some great surfaces. Today’s pick: 11a, 17a (very clever), 23a (no cycling for once), 24a, 1d, 8d & 14d (brilliant!) Quiblet below…

Thanks Kempley. I found this very gentle but nonetheless very enjoyable with my favourites being 10a, 13a, 23a, 24a, 25a, 26a (it's rare for me to like a Spoonerism though I think 'getting' would sound better than 'to get' as a link word), 14d, and 16d. Nice puzzle overall.
