Cryptic crossword No 3,124

Some great clues - liked 12a, 4d, 18a (when it clicked made me chuckle), 14a - 3/10d is a bit of a stretch with "cleaner" a little loose for shampoo, I'd suggest. I was convinced 6d was "Spelt aloud", as unusual to basically give the exact answer in the construction, however it's punctuated. Would have worked with "F.L.O.U.R" in quotes maybe. 9a is a lovely word that is gettable from definition. 19a v clever but works perfectly. 21a - a hidden answer plus an additional letter?

Hi Orinoco, I agree with Shroom in appreciating the variety of your clues and the success of many of them. Where I found ‘technical’ aberrations these didn’t detract from the fun of solving them and the sense of a lively creative mind at work. My particular faves were 12a, 19a, 20a, 23a, 13d, 16d & 17d.
