Cryptic crossword No 3,113

Thanks Sisyphus, I really enjoyed that with my favourites being 13a, 17a, 22a, 1d, and 16d. I was beaten by 6d and needed your notes to understand 24a, 20d, and 23d but overall this was much more accessible to me than your last crossword. Nice work.

Hi Sisyphus, agree with Gennaro this is very good, I didn't have a completely clear run but that was down to my solving skills rather than the clues. I got held up in NW with an incorrect answer for 9a but 6d went in just from the def with the benefit of having visited many castles when growing up! Favourites today were 17a, 1d, 7d, 8d and 14d. One note to follow...

Certainly more approachable, Sisyphus, and I thought there were some really good clues in here. 8d in particular is excellent. Other favourites included: 9a, 15a, 1d and 16d. I actually still made heavy weather of this, which is partly down to me, I'm sure. More in reply ...
